Our production

The production unit of the Berkel Group, Pfälzische Spritfabrik, is one of the largest and most modern distilleries and alcohol refineries in Germany and Europe today. Its broad production spectrum includes distillation, rectification and absolutisation.

Thanks to state-of-the-art distillation and filtration processes, our specially produced PSF neutral alcohol (96 vol. % or 100 vol. %) achieves a purity that fulfils even the high requirements of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries.

Pfälzische Spritfabrik also has a certified energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, guaranteeing the highest standards.

If alcohol is required in the process but not consumed, we can collect all ethanol-containing media or alcohol-containing mixtures - also in accordance with applicable waste legislation - and recycle, treat or utilise them for energy recovery.
